At South Bay Art Department, we aim to nurture individuality and confidence through personal, creative expression. Our art classes encourage students to work from personal experience and interest, to enjoy the process of making art. There’s no right or wrong. Rather, we offer inspiration and guidance to help each student develop their own unique artistic voice.

For younger students, our classes are dedicated to preserving and celebrating a purity of artistic vision. For more advanced students, we seek to reawaken this innocent spirit, allowing them to see the “same old things” in creative new ways.

Policies

Attendance Policy

•No same day cancellations

•IF YOU CAN’T ATTEND CLASS please notify us at least 24 HOURS in advance. Anything after will result in a deducted class credit.

•If you don’t show up and we haven’t heard from you, you’ll lose that class credit.

Credit Usage Policy:

Purchase a 4-class pack and you have 8 weeks to use your credits. Purchase an 16-class pack and you have 32 weeks to use your credits.

Refund Policy:

Credits can used for any class and can be transferred between family members, however we do NOT offer refunds.

We do not refund any number of unused classes in a class pack.

Parent Policy

Sorry but we do not allow parents to stay during our kids and teen classes. We need our students’ full focus on the class.

Pickup/Drop Off Policy:

We expect students to be picked up at the time the class ends. A fee will be charged for late pickup.

Artwork Hold Policy:

We are not responsible for any artwork left in the studio.

Lost and Found Policy:

In an effort to keep our studio clutter free, we only hold onto lost and found items for a limited period of time before they are donated to Goodwill (unless we have been contacted to hold onto a specific item so it can be picked up by its owner).

For charter schools: We are non-sectarian and do not provide religious instruction of any kind.
